Support and Guidance for Teens
The teenage years are a time of growth and change. It’s common for adolescents to sometimes feel stressed, compare themselves to others, and have self-doubts. However, if your teen is constantly anxious, sad, or irritable, it might be time to seek extra help. You might notice that your teen is worrying all the time, becoming overwhelmed by emotions, or having panic attacks. Or maybe your teenager is often sad and self-critical. Your teen’s tough times might even be affecting your family relationships.
If you recognize these struggles in your teenager, you're likely feeling the pain of their challenges. You want them to see their worth and potential, but, despite your best efforts, it feels like your encouragement isn't enough. Sometimes, reaching out for professional support is the best step forward. Therapy offers a safe space for adolescents to explore their feelings, build resilience, and develop essential life skills. I help teens manage their emotions, build self-confidence, and embrace their true selves.
I specialize in empowering teens to overcome challenges with self-confidence, perfectionism, anxiety, and depression.
For teenagers who struggle with feeling "not good enough," I offer support and guidance to help them build stronger self-worth. I help teens grappling with perfectionism set healthier expectations and embrace imperfection for a more balanced life. I teach anxious teens practical tools and strategies to manage their worries so can they feel calmer and more confident. For teenagers facing depression, I provide tools and support to help them cope with difficult emotions and find renewed meaning and happiness.
I am committed to supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ adolescents by providing a nurturing environment where they feel seen, heard, and valued. My goal is to empower teens to appreciate their individuality so they can thrive as their true selves.

How Teen Therapy Works
1. Intake Session
The first step is an intake session. During this 75-minute session, I will meet with you and your teenager to talk about your concerns and goals. The intake session is a chance for you and your teen to get to know me and ask questions. Finding a therapist who is the right 'fit' for your teen is key to successful therapy. If you and your teen feel that I am the right fit, we will talk about the treatment plan and schedule follow-up therapy sessions.
2. Therapy Sessions
Therapy sessions last 50 minutes and are scheduled weekly or every other week, depending on your teen's needs. I will help your teenager feel supported, understood, and comfortable so they can talk openly. During these sessions, your teen will talk through tough situations and learn new ways to solve problems. Your adolescent will also gain the tools to manage emotions like sadness, anger, and anxiety. We will work on improving communication skills and building stronger relationships. I will also help you, the parent, better understand what your teen is going through and how to best support them at home.
By investing in therapy, you are giving your teen the tools they need to thrive both now and in the future.
